River Twice welcomes Kevin McWilliams of Laurel
Kevin McWilliams grew up in South Jersey and has been working in restaurants since he was fifteen. He moved to Philadelphia to attend the University of the Arts obtaining a degree in Photography. Kevin worked all through college in restaurants around the city. He became Sous for Josiah Richmond at Cafe Lift, then headed to Kensington Quarters to work under Damon Menapace and Katie Maley. He moved out to West Philadelphia to work with Eric Leveillee at Marigold until it's closure in 2019 and then returned to Kensington Quarters as Sous for Matt Harper. He joined the River Twice team as sous chef in 2020. Today he is currently the chef de cuisine of Nick Elmi’s Laurel Restaurant in South Philadelphia. Kevin enjoys cooking market driven food with a focus on seasonality , fish and vegetables.
