Chef Abby Dahan spent her formative years in Paris honing her aptitude for pastry before finding herself working for several acclaimed restaurants and hotels such as The Ritz Carlton, Joel Robuchon at The Mansion and Philadelphia’s Le Bec Fin.
Her growing expertise and reputation landed chef Dahan the Pastry Chef role at Stephen Starr’s beloved Parc Rittenhouse, a title she held for nearly 8 years. Dahan went on to win Food Network’s Chopped “Sweets” and started her own pastry school called The Bake School, where she teaches every day people how to bake like pros.
Dahan is about more than just baked goods and sweets, and will be showcasing those talents when she joins us for the next Hidden in Plain Sight dinner. Expect a focus on Dahan’s Moroccan roots, with dishes including a Moroccan brick pastry, a collection of salatim, several courses featuring meat, raw and cooked fish, and of course, specialty desserts.
